During my summer vacations, I spent most of my time in my cousins home,playing on X-box and doing other cool stuff that most of teenagers loved doing.
I persuaded my cousin, Abhi to watch the new zombie movie that was hitting the theatres those days. We both had a great day, The movie was superb and a must-watch.
Returning back home, We felt a bit strange. The road’s were quiet and moat of shops were closed. Abhi turned on the radio,We were listening to #Shape_of_u . Suddenly there was an important news broadcasted “Everyone is recommended not to leave their home and stay inside, people were turning zombie like creature and eating other people.”
I started trembling and rushed car to home.We closed all the doors and windows. And switched on t.v. , the news was,The zombie virus was spreading like forest-fire it would soon reach our city so, dear people stay inside till further news.
Abhi was terrified .But, I stood calm and thought for a while. I got an idea, took out all my ammunition.We had got one shotgun and one rifle with lot of ammo.
I had bought them for thia day only, When the planet would be at the edge of extinction.
We put on c.c.t.v. all around our house and then put on the curtains. The basement was our base, it was all protected by thick walls and only one way to get in and get out.
We had enough food for 2 to 3 months.Thanks to mum, Who had always taught to keep the stock full. Everything was going well. Next morning suddenly, the door bell rang. Abhi peeped through the key hole and no worries it was our silly neighbour, Seb. He joined us. We was stunned when he saw our base. I took him in our group only because he had got us big and fast wheels. We went trough the city in his SUV.
Suddenly, a hoard of about a dozen of zombies came from front. Yeaks, All wet with blood and I could hear them cracking bones and clamping their fangs it was very horrifying scene. They ran towards us . Abhi accelerated and drove like hell and we were out of danger.
Seb wanted us to get him to his friends house. We got him to his friends house and he ended up staying there only. Abhi drove back home. It was almost dawn, Abhi was feeling sleepy and tired. So, I took the steering and he took a nap.
Oops, our house was attacked by zombies. It was all Abhi’s mistake he forgoted to turn off the speakers and zombies broke through our windows. What I had observes, Zombies hated noise and the best way to avoid them is to keep silent. We had get out of there to avoid any more damage and we planned further. We had planned to move to an army rescue base which Seb was talkinh ’bout. One day past, we had no food, We were starving out of hunger. We saw a pub on the outskirts of city.
I am not able to express our happiness, on seeing a pub. We peeped out to look whether area is clear or not. ‘All clear Ayush’ said Abhi. We knocked the door. The man was not opening the door but, later he took us in.
We had peanuts and drink. And filled our tummy ,also packed some for journey. We spend the night in the pub.The pub was protected by big walls and heavy gates.That protected us from any danger.
We woke up early in the morning. It was chilling cold outside. The man at pub told his name Michael. We were having breakfast while Michael played his big and bulky speakers. But, we forgot that zombies hated noise. I switched off those speakers, in hurry. It was already late. Those freaky zombies gathered outside our pub and tried to break in.
We all were scared. They were breaking the gate, there were many. We took our gun’s ,the door broke and there was a wave of zombies. It was like playing Counter strike, we took aim and shoot ’em. One of the zombie got too close to Michael and bite his arm. Abhi shooted that zombie. Finally, all were dead or may be those who dead, died again. But, Michael was infected he told us to leave immediately. Abhi and me moved on, we drove further. Poor, Michael, I am really sad for him.
We keep on driving and driving, None seemed to be alive or if anyone was he must be in a hideout. We misssed our Mom-Dad,God knows were they safe or not.
We had to stop the road was blocked.
We took our guns, got out of car and moved on foot. We moved through the cars in a haste. Suddenly, a horde of zombies ran after us. We ran in full speed, they were behind us, one mistake and game over. One came very near to me, Abhi shooted him. There was a car, we got in and started the engine. We drove like hell and got out from the mouth of dead.
Next day we reached there,Army rescue base. There was a very stiff security. The walls were protected by large metal nets,in which high voltage electricity was flowing.
Outposts were made where snipers took position.
Aftet, many checkups to identify that we were not infected by virus . We were sent to colonel Jaden jr. We told him the whole story how we reached there. Later, he gave us offer to join the aemy. We accepted his offer and went through tough tarining .
We lived in the army base and helped the army in saving the human’s and finding savages.
Holy shit.”Abhi shook his head and muttered, “Now we know what the zombie apocalypse looks like, in real.
